baustelle zukunft

How can we motivate the next generation to engage in shaping the cities of the future and to rediscover the value of the arts and crafts that bring them to life? Our answer is to bring them directly onto the construction site. With “Baustelle Zukunft” (Construction Site Future), we organized a career orientation event for students together with several local partners on the site of our housing project Sonnhalde in the Black Forest. The aim was to showcase the wide range of professions involved in building, from planning and financing to craftsmanship, and to spark curiosity about the many opportunities the construction industry offers. The shortage of skilled workers affects us all, and events like this help make the field more attractive, creative, and meaningful for young people.
