textile interpretation
What does it mean to weave without thread? Material study series. Objects that express textile qualities—flexibility, connection, layering—through distinctly non-textile materials. Rather than replicating traditional knotting or weaving techniques, each piece directly translates these properties into its own material language. This approach opens up a space for experimentation: testing combinations, joining methods, surface textures, and colours at the very start of the design process. It’s not about imitating fabric, but about discovering how other materials can behave with the logic of textiles.
